Meet Zane
Zane Vinson spent 15 years in building materials and construction before he put his own name on a house. He started Sotol Homes for a simple reason: to build homes to his own standard, in the community where he's raising his family.
Every Sotol home is built around three things that don't change from project to project: quality that doesn't cut corners, a process that treats you like a neighbor instead of a transaction, and a commitment to Taylor County that goes beyond the homes themselves.
Off the job site, Zane and his wife Heather are busy raising their kids just down the road from the homes he builds. So when he says he cares how your house turns out, he means it. He'll be seeing you around town for a long time.
Why "Sotol"?
Sotol is a tough, spiky plant that grows wild on the rocky hillsides of West Texas. It gets by on very little water, stands up to the heat, the wind, and the occasional hard freeze, and once it puts down roots, it stays for decades. Every so often it sends up a bloom stalk taller than a grown man, right out of the rock.
That's what we want every Sotol home to be: built for this land, built to last, and at home here for generations. It's the plant you see in our logo, and it's the standard behind every home with our name on it.
